Newmu, the life and times of R. Rectangulus
It may be known by some, that there is a new humu in town... or in this case, a newmu. He is in fact a newmunewmunukunukuapua'a... or perhaps a newmewnewmewhewkewnewkewapewa'a... or something of that nature. His name is Picard, and he is like Alister in many ways, though Alister he is not. Ways that he is like Alister
1) He is from the genus Rhinecanthus
2) He has a trigger
3) He likes to bite things
4) He lets me pet him
5) He takes food from my hand
6) He enjoys eating
7) He likes squid and krill.
Ways that he is not like Alister
1) He is larger and much fatter.
2) He is a completely different color - i.e. brown and orange.
3) He is not quite as aggressive and he does noticably less plotting and scheming.
4) He spends time that would be spent plotting and scheming eating
5) He actually sleeps less than Alister, and is not as grumpy as Alister was when he is woken up.
6) He is more likely to actually be from Hawai'i.
7) His species is R. rectangulus
Picard is a kinder gentler humu so long as nothing is between him and food, which he eats a lot of. Actually this is not so bad, since Alister's final down fall was directly related to his insatiable need to get exactly what he wanted when he wanted it. On the other hand, this humu has not the drive nor the grand vision(at least not yet) that Alister had. He is sort of like Pope Benedict in a way, in that he is more of a transitional fish. But then again, like Benedict, we will probably be stuck with him for a while, but in the case of Picard, this is not such a bad thing at all. Unfortunately, his massive appetite really pushes the line of water quality, but I can deal with that.
